Cookie Policy

Last Updated: September 18, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how MediaCreators, LLC ("MediaCreators", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our website (mediacreators.io) and use our SaaS platform and streaming communities (collectively, the "Services").

This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we use personal information.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by online service providers to facilitate and help to make the interaction between users and websites faster and easier, as well as to provide reporting information.

Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, MediaCreators) are called "first-party cookies". Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies". Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (e.g., interactive content like YouTube videos, advertising, analytics, and secure payment processing).

2. How and why we use cookies

We use cookies for operational, analytical, and advertising purposes. Depending on the specific streaming community you visit and the settings chosen by the Creator, you may encounter the following types of cookies:

A. Essential / Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary to provide you with the Services available through our platform and to use some of its features. Because these cookies are strictly necessary to deliver the Services, you cannot refuse them without impacting how our platform functions.

Authentication & Sessions: We use cookies to keep you logged in securely (whether you are a Creator accessing your dashboard or a Fan accessing a community via Google OAuth).

Security & Fraud Prevention: Tools like Cloudflare use cookies to identify malicious visitors, reduce risk of attacks, and ensure platform stability. Stripe also places essential cookies for fraud detection during payment processing.

B. Analytics and Performance Cookies (PostHog)

We use PostHog, a product analytics platform, to understand how users interact with our Services. PostHog uses cookies to collect data such as pages visited, features clicked, and session duration.

Why we use it: This data helps us find bugs, improve the user experience, and understand which features are most valuable.

Your control: The data collected by PostHog is used exclusively for product improvement and is not shared with external ad networks.

C. Third-Party / Embedded Content Cookies (YouTube)

Because MediaCreators operates as a business layer on top of platforms like YouTube, you will frequently interact with embedded YouTube video players.

YouTube Cookies: When you play an embedded YouTube video, Google/YouTube may set its own third-party cookies on your device to track video statistics, remember your playback preferences, and maintain security.

Our Control: MediaCreators does not control the cookies set by YouTube. Your interaction with these embedded players is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

D. Advertising and Tracking Cookies

Because creators rely on advertising to support their content, you may encounter advertising cookies while using the Services:

Google AdSense / YouTube Monetization: If a Creator has monetized their YouTube videos, playing those embedded videos on our platform may result in Google injecting advertising cookies (such as DoubleClick) to deliver targeted ads and measure ad performance.

Smart Ads Engine™: MediaCreators provides tools for creators to display their own native sponsorships and banners around the video player. We may use local storage or cookies to frequency-cap these ads (so you don't see the same banner repeatedly) and to track aggregated clicks or impressions to report campaign performance to the creators' sponsors.

3. Specific Third-Party Technologies We Use

To be fully transparent, these are the primary third-party services that may place cookies or use local storage on your device when you use MediaCreators:

  • Google (OAuth, YouTube, AdSense): For login functionality, video playback, and native video ad delivery.
  • Stripe: For secure checkout sessions and fraud prevention.
  • PostHog: For aggregated product analytics.
  • Cloudflare: For network routing, bot protection, and security.

4. How can you control cookies?

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject non-essential cookies.

Browser Controls: You can set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies. If you choose to reject cookies, your access to some functionality (like remaining logged into a community) will be severely restricted or broken.

Targeted Advertising Opt-Out: You can opt-out of personalized Google ads by visiting Google's Ad Settings.

Disabling Analytics: If you wish to opt-out of PostHog analytics, you can usually do so by enabling the "Do Not Track" (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser settings.

5. Updates to this Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time in order to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
